Would these campaigns change the way you feel about your body?
We asked six advertising agencies to design posters that challenge our perceptions on what the perfect body is. Would any of these campaigns alter the way you feel about your body? ‘We don’t all have the same body type but, regardless of this, we are all perfect. So, what is it going to take for you to love your body?’ says ed Aspasia Karras. What are your thoughts on the various campaigns? Get the latest issue on shelf now to read about the agencies’ rationales. I particularly loved the explanation behind M&C Saatchi’s poster design: ‘One day we will have to stop obsessing about our appearance. Wouldn’t it be better if it wasn’t the day we kicked the bucket? The sooner we embrace ageing and greying and drooping, the more authentic our lives will be.’

I really love this campaign, and think the work it does is vital!
next question – how do we actively get these ads into the public space, on billboards and banners, and so on, so it can really affect others and do its work?

When will we stop sweating the small stuff,
and focus on being real (deep down real).
Caring, compassionate, kind to ourselves and
others makes one beautiful.
Love it!
I want one of those tape measure too!
What a job well done by all of the agencies.
Would love to see these in mass market print media, or on billboards, etc. Someday soon??
Wonderful! Having a slice of chocolate cake!
Thank you Marie Claire, you’ve just reconfirmed why i love you so much! I really like the ad by TBWA i think, the one that plays on the word Imperfect, it really is all about perspective and i’ve just gained a new one about myself, best pre Christmas present ever!
Awesome idea – there are some really stunning ideas here that really resonate. I think women need to be reminded daily about what’s important!
Well done, in my opinion, to Saatchi & King James, they both get the point accross, but a special mention to Saatchi communicating the message in a non-cliche’ way, very original and most of all powerfull – I’d definately look at this ad more than twice!
