What does ‘disabled’ even mean?

The gorgeous and super inspiring Aimee Mullins, is featured in our November issue. She tells us the story to her life. She was born without fibulas, she had both legs amputated below the knee as an infant. She set many world records at the Paralympics and has modelled for the great McQueen. In the TED (Tecnology, Entertainment Design) TALK below, she discusses adversity and the meaning of ‘disabled’. I must say I find her to be a great voice on this subject. ‘Being beautiful means being grateful to the person you are now, with all the gifts and challenges you’ve been given, and to remember that you have the power to create and re-create the person you want to become.’ – Aimee Mullens
