Drug dealers molded cocaine into Manolo Blahnik heels

Are shoes addictive? Some of us might be shoeaholics, but recently two drug dealers in Spain took this shoes-as-drugs metaphor a little bit too literally. Drug dealers smuggled cocaine from Colombia to Spain in the form of the shoes made famous by Sex and The City, Manolo Blahniks. The smugglers, a Colombian husband and wife team, created a paste-like cocaine high heel shoe to resemble the super pricey Manolos. The paste would then, upon arrival in Spain, be returned to its powder form. Each shoe’s street value is about $69000 , according to the Telegraph. Anti-narcotics squads in the Spanish city of Bilbao arrested 6 people and seized 4 kg of cocaine in this operation,  fittingly dubbed: Operation Manolos.
