Wear this Millenium bracelet for a good cause

The Millennium Bracelet is being launched by Edgars in association with the Rainbow Collection and Africa!Ignite (a network of women crafters in rural communities throughout KwaZulu-Natal). Available in 40 Edgars stores around the country from Women’s Day (Tuesday, 9 August), they will retail for R19.95 in eight bright colours, each corresponding to one of the eight development goals: 1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger – yellow, 2. Achieve universal primary education – lime green, 3. Promote gender equality and empower women – orange, 4. Reduce child mortality – turquoise, 5. Improve maternal health – pink, 6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases – red, 7. Ensure environmental sustainability – green, 8. Develop a global partnership for development – blue. All the money raised is going to support the women crafters, as well as numbers one, three and eight of the development goals.
