A new look for Dior
Its Couture Fashion Week for Fall 2011 in Paris this week and all eyes have been on Christian Dior. For the first time in fifteen years, John Galliano’s designs were not part of the Couture collection, and the role was instead handed over to Bill Gaytten and his assistant Susanna Venegas… What a difference a new designer makes, taking the label in a more eighties geometrical direction that is barely recognisable to its previous shows. There is a lot of colour, architectural shapes and never ending chiffon which most certainly makes a statement. What do you think, is this change for the good or a little too out there for the Dior brand? See below for more images.

Such detailed and Unique Style on each Piece Love it
Sadly, I am less than impressed. What Galliano brought to Dior was quirky elegance. This looks inspired by the circus – great for the Helena Bonham Carters of the world, but not for me. But maybe I just expected too much too soon (?)
