A face-lift for The Spa at The Twelve Apostles

The Twelve Apostles already has a lot going for it. And they recently upped the ante by revamping their spa, making it lighter, brighter and much more inviting. One of my favourite things about the spa is that you can spend as long as you want there, turning an hour-long treatment into a morning of extended indulgence in the tranquillity lounge and plunge pools (I also can’t resist the health bar). All the facilities remain, but the renovation has given it a modern, airy ambience that makes it feel more like the luxe beachside spa it is. Here’s what the plunge pool looks like now:

If you’re thinking of visiting for an end-of-year treat, I’d recommend the Absolute Beachfront Hot Lava Shell Massage. It’s similar to a hot-stone massage, but instead of stones, self-heating ‘tiger shells’ are used. When the shell heats up and is activated by natural ingredients, it gives off calcium ions, which help renew and firm the skin. Enjoy!
