‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’ to be made into movie
While I wasn’t that enamoured with the movie version of Jonathan Safran’s book Everything is Illuminated, from the little bit I’ve read and seen, his second book Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close could be more of a success. Starring Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis and John Goodman, it’s set in New York and due for release in March 2012.

If you haven’t read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close it tells the story of nine year old Oskar Schell who two years previously lost his father in the 9/11 World Trade Centre attack. When he finds a mysterious key that belonged to his father he sets out across the five boroughs of New York to find the lock that fits the key in the hope that he will find some kind of message from his father.
