The Media Salon tonight
There are so many ways to get involved with various needy charities… anything from hosting a small dinner with friends to running raffles and small events like a group of us do. As often as we can, Josef Tallotta, Zanele Kumalo, Danielle Weakley, Heidi Duminy, Elana Closenberg and I), organise a gathering of likeminded media types to natter over a glass of bubbly or three while at the same time raise money for good cause. In the past few years we’ve been donating funds to the Starfish Foundation. And now for the first Media Salon of the year, I’d like to invite you to join us for a Cosmo or two at Narina Trogon to raise funds for The Lunchbox Fund. Founded and directed by New York City based SA model Topaz Page-Green, The Lunchbox Fund provides daily meals to SA’s vulnerable school-children – the only nutritional meal of the day for far too many. She will be at tonight’s event to chat us through the initiative.
Date Wednesday, February 2
Time 6pm for 6.30pm
Place Narina Trogon, 81 de Korte Street, Braamfontein
Entry R100 to benefit The Lunchbox Fund

What do Bono, Bill Clinton, Charlize Theron, Yoko Ono, Beyonce, Elton John, Patti Smith, Naomi Campbell, Kate Spade, Sean Combs, Cameron Diaz, Martha Stewart, Michael Stipe, Anna Sui, the Beastie Boys, Helena Christensen, Orlando Bloom, Eva Mendes – and loads more bold-print A-listers – have in common?
Answer? They all actively support South Africa’s Lunchbox Fund, founded by social entrepreneur, humanitarian and model (Lacoste, MAC Cosmetics, Puma, L’Oreal, NARS Cosmetics etc), Topaz Page-Green, who divides her time between New York and SA.
