Who invented that?

Last week, I stumbled upon an interesting article about a couple of unlikely inventors. Celebs. There is a string of celebs who actually invented some quite famous products. Check these out:

Margaret Thatcher – Soft Serve Ice Cream

Apparently, believe it or not, former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher put her Oxford chemistry degree to good use with a research job at food manufacturer J. Lyons and Co. She’s responsible for creating a kind of  ‘soft-scoop’ cream which could be pumped through a machine after she was assigned to ‘whip more air into ice cream’.

Andy Warhol – five-face watch

This eccentric artist once said,  ‘Why have one watch face when you can have five?’ So he developed a five-face watch that tells the time in five different continents.

Mark Twain – Self-pasting scrapbook

Author, Mark Twain wanted a book where he could document all of his travels. So, he created a scrapbook with a dried strip of glue running through the center of each page. This was patented in 1872, and the scrapbook was an immediate hit.
