After three years together – a one year courtship followed by two years of marriage – Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have called it quits. According to a statement released by the former couple, their break-up comes “after long and careful consideration on both our parts”. Ryan, star of the upcoming superhero movie Green Lantern, and the actress and singer have been together since 2008. In other couples news, High School Musical sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens also put an end to their relationship. The couple was together for three years after meeting on the set of the hit movie and TV show.

These splits comes after a year of shocking Hollywood break-ups. From Christina Aquilera and Jordan Bratman, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James to Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend and Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush.
