Meet the Aramis Guy

A little while ago, I received an invitation to spend a few minutes getting to know the French model Didier Zonga who fronts Aramis fragrance’s new advertising campaign called “All a man needs”. I swiftly became a hit with female colleagues who catered to my ever so frequent need for caffeine. No prize for guessing that one! Didier was in town for one day because his schedule is just too hectic and being new in modeling world, he is high demand. However, I have managed to compile a few facts I have learned about him during our interview.

About modeling…

Didier was introduced to a photographer by a mutual friend in Paris and since then, things fell right into place. Before modeling he was particularly interested in fashion. However, now it is an integral part of his work and he learns more each day. He has since become quite brand conscious and among his favorites, Dolce and Gabbana reigns paramount for designer suits and Prada for shoes.

About Aramis

He has always related to the original Aramis scent because his farther wore it for a very long time, so he grew up knowing it to be highly regarded cologne. Representing such a premium brand is a huge honor for him because he is recognized for some of his own qualities which match that of a quintessential Aramis man, confidence, timeless elegance and a youthful sophistication.

About his travels…

Even tough his work involves a lot of traveling, he always regards Paris as his favourite destination. His work takes him all over the world but he would still love to visit a few more countries including, China, Japan and India. His travel essential is a skipping rope because keeping in shape is his number one priority.

About his interests…

Before breaking into the modeling industry, he was interested in soccer, so playing Fifa video games for close to five hours is the way he relaxes. He is also a big sleeper, nothing comes between him and a good rest.
