We love LV!
After years of androgynous looks on the catwalk, the closing day of the Paris Fashion Week marks the beginning of a true renaissance. You may recall my blog entry on Benetton searching for the real look. Yesterday Louis Vuitton raised the bar with his Autumn/Winter Ready-To-Wear collection for 2010/2011. LV reinstated voluptuousness (using this word very loosely) by designing the clothes that you and I can wear.
Australian top model, Elle Macpherson relived her career as ‘The Body’ at age 47; showing off her famous curves. And the curvaceous LV models gracefully paraded the designs around a monumental fountain in a tent set up at the courtyard of Louvre Museum. While the setting screamed 50s style, Jacobs created a chic contemporary look with his play on colour, fabric and texture contrasts. LV is definitely ‘bringing sexy back’!
