French Connection’s latest move

How to maintain relevance as a fashion brand? Join the virtual world, of course. French Connection is all over it – they’re on Facebook, Twitter and have created a blog called Manifesto. Their latest dabbling is on Chatroulette (a brand-new social media site that lets strangers meet and chat via webcam), where they’ve launched a competition for UK men. The winner? The man who manages to seduce a woman on Chatroulette. The prize? £250 worth of French Connection clothes. And, presumably, the huge achievement of talking to a real live woman?
