Last week, I spent my Phuza Thursday at the sweet 16 MTN SAMA nominations party. I only wish they’d sent me the brief that Ama Kip-Kip tees were the uniform of the night before I arrived in my red-carpet best. The only others who made an effort: Puff Johnson in a classic black number and Penny Lebyane in a blinging blue dress. And of course, Miss Khanyi Mbau stole the show with her date and diamante brooches to match. Other than that, VIP treatment was the order of the night and I was sipping on drinks and sucking on cigars (ok not really, I don’t smoke…) on the house. Pity there were no goodie bags though, which was surprising given the slew of sponsors supporting the event.
