Just thought I’d share with you a touch of the type of music we were listening to in Croatia. Had the privilege of listening to this genius duo (Zero 7) on the sunny beaches of Petrcane, Croatia at the Soundwave Festival. Instead of playing their own music, they played music they loved for us. Was bliss because of course, their taste is impeccable. I’m dreaming of La Residence in Franschhoek where I joined friends two weekends ago for a sublime and divine weekend in the country. Bedrooms fit for princesses, bathrooms the size of ballrooms – well, ok, but certainly large enough to throw a party, never mind swing a cat or three. There’s something special about being a woman. And it’s something only women will understand (sorry boys!). It’s difficult to put into words but things like bubble bath, taking our time to get ready, owning a 180 pairs of shoes, eating a whole box of chocolates and crying in movies kind of help explaining it. It is probably also the reason why we a specific day (9 August 2010) – in fact, it’s turned into an entire month here at Marie Claire – dedicated to celebrating women. Marvellous!
The office has been abuzz with what everyone is doing to celebrate being all women. If you are still undecided or haven’t given thought to it, I have just the thing for you to do… The One&Only’s Women’s Month Special. Seriously, you can’t go wrong. Let me explain:
