It’s no secret – at least not in the MC office – that I have a major celebrity crush on Ryan Gosling (but then again, who doesn’t?). So imagine the shrieks of joy this morning when I stumbled across this video and learnt that Ryan Gosling (and friend Zach Shields) were actually part of an indie-folk band called Dead Man’s Bones.
Ryan (who performs under the alias ‘Baby Goose’…bless!) and Zach released the band’s self-titled debut album in October 2009 (sadly, it seems, the album is only available on import in South Africa).
And it’s not just Ryan’s mysterious, dark and soulful voice that makes my heart skip: the album is a collaboration with The Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir – a non-profit educational organization, started by Flea from The Red Hot Chili Pepper in LA in 2001, to help foster music education in under-privileged communities.
Like I needed mores reason to be in love with Ryan… *blush*

Looking good and elegant with her Marilyn “do”, but does this mean the child-star has straightened herself out? She talks about her recent jail episode, drugs and rehab and her road back to recovery. You might be asking: Who cares? Either way, she looks good.

Having had woken up at an ungodly hour to catch the bus before dawn break, I had anything but a spring in my step. But then it hit- spring is here. That means next is…. Summer. Beach season. OMG. I’m just not ready. Heading to the office I grab my usual Coke- but this time I opt for Coke Light. Does this even make a difference?
